Please read the Community Recreation and Culture Branch’s Recreation Safety Guidelines as well as the Respect for People & Property Guidelines to better understand expectations around safety and the role we all play to ensure our spaces are welcome to everyone. In the event these guidelines are not followed, you may have measures put in place that will limit or ban your interactions with employees and/or access to sites and services.

All swimmers must be able to swim 25 metres on their front without stopping before entering deep water (over chest deep). Youth under the age of 13 years must demonstrate this ability. Those older than 13 years of age may also be asked to demonstrate. If a Personal Floatation Device (PFD) is used for the demonstrated swim it must be worn in deep water.
