Child Programs

Swim for Life - Swimmer 1


Swimmer 1 is an entry level swimming lesson for children 6 years of age or older.

Swim for Life - Swimmer 2


Swimmer 2 is an entry level swimming lesson which builds on previously learned skills for children 6 years of age or older. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Swimmer 1 is required.

Swim for Life - Swimmer 3


Swimmer 3 are swimming lessons which build on previously learned skills for children 6 years of age or older. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Swimmer 2 is required.

Swim for Life - Swimmer 4


Swimmer 4 are intermediate swimming lessons which build on previously learned skills for children 6 years of age or older and focus on enhancing the swimmers abilities in deep water. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Swimmer 3 is required.

Swim for Life - Swimmer 5


Swimmer 5 are intermediate swimming lessons which build on previously learned skills for children 6 years of age or older and focus on enhancing the swimmers abilities in deep water. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Swimmer 4 is required.

Swim for Life - Swimmer 6


Swimmer 6 is the final lesson in the Swim For Life continuum! These advanced swimming lessons will build on previously learned skills for children 6 years of age or older. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Swimmer 5 is required.

Rookie Patrol - Swimmer 7


Rookie Patrol lays the foundation of the Swim Patrol program. It includes 4 main components: stroke refinement, fitness, first aid, and lifesaving.

Ranger Patrol - Swimmer 8


Ranger Patrol focusses on swimmer fitness through stroke refinement and underwater proficiency activities. Lifesaving skills are expanded to include object support and non-contact rescues with a buoyant aid.

Star Patrol - Swimmer 9


Star Patrol prepares swimmers for the Bronze Star Award. It demands good physical conditioning enhances first aid knowledge, and teaches new lifesaving skills, including victim removals. Star Patrol will be well on their way to becoming bona fide Lifesavers.

Lifesaving Society Junior Lifeguard Club


The Junior Lifeguard Club (JLC) program is for all youth interested in being active and enhancing their skills in a fun, high paced environment. JLC members work on their own personal bests in the swimming, lifesaving, fitness, knowledge, leadership and teamwork. This program sets up participants to be successful in the Bronze Medals.
